The term ‘student body’ refers to all students within a particular subject area; it is represented by the representatives elected to the Student Body Council. The Student Body Council is divided into individual departmental councils (commonly referred to as ‘student council’).

The Chemistry and Biology Departmental Student Council, as part of the Natural Sciences and Mathematics Student Council, is responsible for supporting all students studying Biology, Chemistry, Sustainable Chemistry, Food Chemistry and the Fundamentals of Natural Sciences and Technology.

It is an elected body of the constituted student body of the University of Wuppertal.
