The Student Council

1. The students enrolled at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Wuppertal form the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Students’ Association.
   The Student Council is an independent body within the student body, endowed with its own rights and obligations; the student body, in turn, is an independent body with legal capacity within the university.
2. The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Student Council is divided into the following departments:
   1. Chemistry, Biology and NaWiTec
   2. Mathematics and Computer Science
   3. Physics
3. As part of their remit, the Student Council and its departments have the right to collaborate with student councils at other universities and to join umbrella organisations of student councils
